Ps 4:1-8

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness; Thou hast set me at large in distress: Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood?

But know that Jehovah hath set apart for himself him that is godly: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.

Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in Jehovah.

Many there are that say, Who will show us good? Jehovah, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Thou hast put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and their new wine are increased.

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.

Ps 13:1-6

How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Consider answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the death;

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Ps 61:1-8

Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For thou hast been a refuge for me, A strong tower from the enemy.

I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Thou wilt prolong the king's life; His years shall be as many generations.

He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows.

Ps 130:1-8

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.

Lord, hear my voice: Let thine ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

My soul for the Lord More than watchmen for the morning; watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, hope in Jehovah; For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.

And he will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Ps 138:1-8

I will give thee thanks with my whole heart: Before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

In the day that I called thou answeredst me, Thou didst encourage me with strength in my soul.

All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O Jehovah, For they have heard the words of thy mouth.

Yea, they shall sing of the ways of Jehovah; For great is the glory of Jehovah.

For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; But the haughty he knoweth from afar.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And thy right hand will save me.

Jehovah will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, for ever; Forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Ps 143:1-12

Hear my prayer, O Jehovah; Give ear to my supplications: In thy faithfulness answer me, in thy righteousness.

And enter not into judgment with thy servant; For in thy sight no man living is righteous.

For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; He hath smitten my life down to the ground: He hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is desolate.

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy doings; I muse on the work of thy hands.

I spread forth my hands unto thee: My soul after thee, as a weary land.

Make haste to answer me, O Jehovah; My spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, Lest I become like them that go down into the pit.

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; For in thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; For I lift up my soul unto thee.

Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

Teach me to do thy will; For thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Quicken me, O Jehovah, for thy name's sake: In thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.

And in thy lovingkindness cut off mine enemies, And destroy all them that afflict my soul; For I am thy servant.

Isa 64:1-12

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might quake at thy presence,

as when fire kindleth the brushwood, the fire causeth the waters to boil; to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains quaked at thy presence.

For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen a God besides thee, who worketh for him that waiteth for him.

Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou wast wroth, and we sinned: in them of long time; and shall we be saved?

For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee; for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us by means of our iniquities.

But now, O Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Be not wroth very sore, O Jehovah, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, look, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

Thy holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.

Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O Jehovah? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?

John 17:1-26

These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:

even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, Jesus Christ.

I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.

And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.

Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:

for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received , and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:

and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.

And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we .

While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil .

They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;

that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.

And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we one;

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;

and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.

Mt 6:5-15

And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.

And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Num 6:22-27

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel: ye shall say unto them,

Jehovah bless thee, and keep thee:

Jehovah make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

Jehovah lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

So shall they put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

Eph 1:1-23

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints that are at Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly in Christ:

unto a dispensation of the fulness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him,

in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will;

to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:

in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,-- in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of own possession, unto the praise of his glory.

For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which toward all the saints,

cease not to give thanks for you, making mention in my prayers;

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;

having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might

which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly ,

far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Col 1:1-29

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints,

because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

which is come unto you; even as it is also in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

even as ye learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,

who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard , do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy;

giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;

in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:

who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;

and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

For it was the good pleasure that in him should all the fulness dwell;

and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, , whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.

And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,

yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church;

whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you-ward, to fulfil the word of God,

the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints,

to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;

whereunto I labor also, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
